To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Kodi was rescued back in May when he was found under very poor conditions. Like many Mexican strays, he was covered in fleas and ticks with a bit of mange as well. It appeared that his owner no longer wanted him, but Kodi was determined and LOYAL, so he attempted to return to his house many times even after his supposed owner kept trying to shoo him away by throwing hot water on him.

These sad beginnings have not seemed to affect Kodi (although he was missing fur on various parts of his body for quite some time). He is very eager to please, quiet, playful, and friendly with people and other dogs. He loves attention and spending time with his person by going on his walks. He is not aggressive and always happy.

Update**Kodi is very sweet and docile. Despite his tough early life, he loves everyone. He wants to be next to you or in your lap at all times! He really is the biggest softy and just craves love from his humans! Kodi is learning to be an indoor dog. He is being crate trained and walking with a harness well. He gets along with the other 2 dogs in the house.
