Sweet Rosie is a beautiful, young gal who had quite the tough start in life. When she was a puppy, she contracted the distemper virus, but she SURVIVED which is one of the most amazing facts about her - she has endured! So, because of this nasty little (but deadly) virus, she now exhibits a 'facial tic.' Despite this information, no one should be confused or worried about Rosie's FUTURE health. She survived this virus, and is now fully vaccinated against it. There is little to NO chance that it will affect her in the future. She will, however, always have this 'facial tic' (which only makes her look adorably goofy).
She is otherwise such a fantastic and AFFECTIONATE dog, she easily bonds with her person and loves their constant companionship. She absolutely adores her person, but she can be shy with strangers at first. She will let people pet her, but she needs to go through the entire smelling process before she actually opens up (which takes a few minutes only). That being said, new situations can scare her - sudden sounds and some moving objects spook her. She needs someone who will build up her confidence level so she no longer considers these things threats to her life. But, as mentioned, she easily bonds with her person, so as long as someone is there to show her the ropes, she will learn.
As far as canine and feline companionship, it is understood that Rosie has lived and been foster with other dogs of different breeds and sizes. She is not, however, the most playful with every dog she meets, but she is totally tolerant of them and shares her space, toys, and food with them quite well. Rosie is such a loving dog that she would probably be okay with cats as well.
All in all, Rosie may be somewhat shy and skittish at first, but she is the ULTIMATE lover and sidekick who will never leave your side. Please consider adopting this beauty so she can complete your family!
