Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Russel was found roaming streets of San Diego on 02/1/13 and ended up in San Diego animal control. After 3 weeks, he was not claimed by an owner, so ARWOB exited him after staff members mentioned how much of a friendly and goofy favorite he was amongst everyone; that he deserved a second chance at finding a family who will love him, provide for him, consider him family and not forget about him.

Russel knows basic commands such as "sit" and "down," etc. He is currently boarding in a carmel valley facility where an amazing trainer has taken him under her wing to train him to be a Canine Good Citizen dog.

Ideal home: Fenced in yard. Pack leader or someone who will continue his training. He would love to be an only dog but depending on other dogs personality he could be a great fit. He is certainly a family dog or a family companion. He is a snuggler, loving and just goofy.

He has been tested around cats and needs to be adopted into a home with NO cats.
