To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Jax (fka Panfilo) is approx. 3-year-old Shep/collie/lab retriever mix who weighs 37 lbs. He was rescued from a family in Mexico who had him tied on a tree with a very short chain, until a volunteer was able to rescue him. He has been a many different living situations since being in the U.S. and finally has a very stable foster family.

Jax has been a great dog around people and will very likely be a great dog around children; he be a great family dog! He LOVES people, and he gets along with many dogs - both male & female - as well as small and large breeds once properly introduced. He has been around cats and doesn't seem interested in them but has never been left unsupervised with them. He is a VERY happy dog and loves his freedom; he loves to prance and is excited to see people. He LOVES to play with toys - ANY toy - and to follow you around. He is a handsome perfectly sized dog; he is also crate-trained. Jax is not really a vocal dog but he barks when he is really excited. He would benefit from an adopter who can enroll him in dog training. He would be a great companion for someone who is retired or works from home as he loves companionship.
