Trouble is a DSH who is about 2 1/2 year old and a healthy 12 pounds. Shee is bonded with her brother Enzo, who is of the same age and weight but is black and white.
Their previous dad was a vet tech who was working one shift when animal control came in with 2 baby kittens. They were too small to thrive so he took them in and bottle fed them awhile keeping them in his studio. Both kitties grew loving their dad and their brother dog, a large Shepherd. Unfortunately their dad had financial problems back in 2011 and for almost a half a year they stayed boarding at a veterinay hospital together in the same kennel. Then an amazing person was finally fed up with seeing these poor kitties crammed in a kennel for so long with no potential of going back home soon. So, today, their "momentary stay" is at their guardian angel. Their stay there should be temporary and short term but now it has been a year and dad never came back to get them nor
will he be able to do so. Unfortunately their guardian angel can't keep them for ever as she herself has 2 senior kitties that require more attention as well as several dogs of her own making the home too overcrowded for such a large family.
We are looking for a home who will be able to foster or foster to adopt BOTH bonded siblings. They LOVE each other as the pictures depict and they are amazingly healthy, playful and loving funny kitties who will be a fantastic family addition.
Their current foster parent mentions they will need a cat tree house and several scratching posts to make sure they continue to have good manners. They like to claw furniture so she trims their nails and occassionally applies soft paws on their nails to help...she has been training them and now they are really great! But will need to make sure they have their cool kitty toys to stay happy and claw the appropriate kitty furniture.
Because they were raised until they were almost a year with their dad they, especially Enzo, seem to really turn towards a male figure the most but love their foster mom as well.
Their adoption fee has been waived to an APPROVED adoptive home BUT a donation would be greatly appreciated it.
To schedule a meet and greet please fill an adoption or foster application online first. The young kitties are living in Campo but their foster works M-F in the Mission Valley area at a veterinary clinic and would gladly bring the kitties along to show them.
