Terra is an amazing and sweet 10 month old Cattle Dog mix, with the 'compact' size and look of a cattle dog body (shorter legs, rounder body, small paws) and the facial features and coloration of a Shepherd mix (longer muzzle, big ears). This girl would be a great partner in crime for another doggy in the family but she can also be adopted into a home with no other pets as long as she is taken to dog parks, walks, etc. She loves to be social around people and she has such a soft personality around children. She also loves to romp around in the back yard playing with small and large dogs (male or female) - she is really easy to get along with. She is even great with cats! She lives in a home with several kitties and she enjoys their companionship, especially if the kitty is young and wants to play with her.
Terra once lived with a family who had children and no other dogs in the home before they relinquished her to the rescue group. They had her only as an outside dog, hence, she is still a bit uncertain if she is welcomed inside the home. However, once she feels comfortable that its OK to come inside she loves it and loves the rug, she thinks the dog bed was the best thing ever invented!
She does well in the car and on leash. She is not food aggressive or toy aggressive. She is actually a bit submissive around certain people when she first meets them but then comes around playing and loving on them.
Terra has a big bark but is not a big barker, though she will bark if there is a lot of commotion around her home, for example, the gardener or someone at the door.
