To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Vegas is a 8 month old GSD/Collie/Retriever mix who was rescued along with her siblings and mother from Baja, Mexico in October. She is knee height and around 40 pounds. She is probably going to be full grown at about 45-50 pounds, so she needs a home where that potential adult size is accepted. She would do great in either an apartment, a home/yard setting with another friendly dog companion, or as the only girl.

Her personality is more of a calm Collie if you observe the way she walks and follows her human companions. Her physical attributes are that of a Golden Retriever. She has very interesting color markings: her hair around her eyes is a light beige color as well as her belly, tail and paws and just a beauty to look at.

Vegas has a submissive and quiet personality around people but she loves to play with toys and other dogs she would play all day if you allowed it but once she goes inside the house she knows is quiet time/relaxing time. She would do very well around children and cats. She would do wonderful in a home that has another dog to play with or a home that will be able to take her to dog parks to socialize with other dogs as she LOVES to play. Even though Vegas is mostly a quiet girl, she has a mighty bark and will alert you if something is going on. She is gentle on the leash, uses doggy door, is crate trained, house broken and just a love of a girl!

She would be a great companion for someone who is looking for an easy, quiet partner. As of 1/17/11 Vegas is UTD on vaccines, dewormed, spayed, microchipped, healthy and READY TO BE ADOPTED TODAY!
