If you are looking for a handsome and silly loving dog, Elvis is your boy! Elvis was rescued from a San Diego shelter early May 2010, where he had been staying for 2 months as a younger puppy. He is currently a year old and full grown at 50 pounds.
Elvis LOVES to be loved and if you allow him to, he can give you kisses all day long! He is very friendly with people and enjoys company from kids as well. He would do great in a home with children, dogs, or cats. He will chase cats in the yard if they run but in the house he is very silly - a dog friendly kitty would enjoy him very much. He enjoys car rides and dog parks.
Elvis is currently working with a trainer to correct his behavior on the leash when he sees other dogs. He is generally okay on the leash, but will pull occasionally... we have been working on that, however, we still need to get him to calm down and focus on the walker when another dog approaches. Elvis is working hard to improve around distractions so he can just enjoy walks even with other dogs around.
He is crate trained and knows how to use the doggy door. He is house trained although he will need 'house restriction/supervision' for the first couple of weeks in his new home to make sure he is familiarized with his surroundings.
Elvis foster mom and his foster sister love him and he loves them but Elvis will need the right home who is willing to work with him.
