Looking to adopt a healthy full grown adult cat who's personality is already developed and whom you meet is whom you get? Purrfect!
We have known Newt since he was a teenager and know him to the T.
He is a pretty cool cat if you don't mind us saying it and not because we are biased but because he is pretty amazing. However, we are looking for serious adopters who:
1) Are able to do a 1-2 week foster trial with him FIRST as we KNOW he will NOT show well when someoem wants to meet him either he will show indifferent or hide through the meet and sabotage his meet and greet as he has in the past and the reason he is still with us after almost 2 years of his rescue day!
2) Newt has lived at casa de arwob with multiple fellow foster dogs and cats and does great But also has been fostered in an apartment as an only pet. We think these Are in order of preference for his forever lifestyle: Dog owners since he enjoys all cat friendly dogs, followed by applicants who only want a single cat, followed by cat owners who's resident cats are pretty easy going and secure of themselves ei if you have a scardy cat who is very submissive and easily can be bullied Newt may take advantage and try to be "too much" he does best with cats who are not afraid of a young playful cat and or hold their ground ei won't let Newt intimidate them... he does fantastic with kittens and other male cats or alpha adult female cats who will not take his playful nonsense LOL
Newt is not a needy cat, he entertains himself with toys especially wand toys and loves to jump on cat trees. He is an active cat when you play with him he is game. we think he would enjoy children and children would likely have a blast with him as a cuddle buddy and "let's play and have a great time" companion BUT he likely will take days to adjust to children hebce another reason we recommend to foster to adopt if you have children. Otherwise, if no children in the home we KNOW he absolutely adores his humans adults or seniors alike. He will chat if you chat with him. He is pretty quiet boy otherwise but can and will have chats especially when he wants to play or is feeding time .. also when he is being cute and cuddly. He can be lifted and hugged short or long term depending on the savvyness of the person holding him. He is a bit like dog himself and likes to cuddle and follow you around. Enjoys sofa and bed time or understands if not allowed in the bedroom as he has been fostered by two differnt personality individuals.
in short, we think anyone looking for a great cat companion will luck out with this cool handsome lovable fun cat!
submit applications online at arwob.org and oncr approved meets are in the 92110
