My name is Puggsly and I am the life of the party!
I am a fun young adult Pug who was relinquished by his family early January 2024
because they unforeseen financial hardship and had to move to an apartment that did not allow pets.
Puggsley is such a clown, typical pug (if you know, you know!) and he is currently living at casa de ARWOB along with other foster dogs like Tommy, Aggie and Antena. As well as foster ARWOB kitties and doing great!
We can share the following about him:
He is VERY loving, has not met a men, women or child he has not sought out attention from.
As of 1/31 he is 19 pounds and likely would reach 20 pounds (he can benefit from a pound gain)
He is a healthy pug! He has not had any GI issues, Skin issues and loves to run around the yard playing with toys as he ADORES fetching (we can't guarantee his running towards you is to bring YOU the toy or tease you and make you believe it - but hey, its a gamble every day lol)
Puggsley has gone on 1-2 miles hike with the ARWOB pack and did GREAT! We had volunteers on standby the first couple of times to make sure his little nares and brachiocephalic anatomy would be an issue but he impressed us. So adopters CAN have a active life just not that of a 3 mile run!
He is a young male dog and has done VERY well in respect to leg lifting. He only had a couple of accidents the first days and has done amazing since. He respects the baby gate BUT he WILL look at you with his sad face that he can't be with you all the time (oh boy the way he sits with his booty facing the wall in sadness ha ha)
Overall, he could benefit from dog training like ANY dog and we would prefer an adopter is serious as a responsible choice as a dog owner.
Puggsley is crate trained at night and a couple hours through the day. He also does well in car rides. Not a big barker as pugs aren't very vocal but certainly "noisy" like pigglets do with their adorable 'snout' to the ground especially when playing but we have not heard him snore so that is a PLUS! ha!
