Handsome Lincoln has an interesting story and we would love your help finding him a better situation. Lincoln was rescued off the streets of baja Mexico sometime in 2022 by an indie rescuer who had him neutered and vaccinated and then awaite help for someone to help him with Lincoln and the rest of the dogs he rescues off the street. This gentleman was a kind senior very low income who barely could had means for himself yet he never saw a starving dog in the streets and ignore its plight. unfortunately this gentleman passed away in 2023 living behind several of his rescues in need of help. Currently his neighbor is taking care of Lincoln and a few other dogs seeking help for them. ARWOB was contacted for help and we are posting this handsome boy in the hopes we can find a human or humans who would like to apply to foster to adopt this sweet boy. You can submit an application to foster if you'd like to ONLY foster with no intent of adoption but if you'd like to adopt this sweet boy please submit an adoption application and we will request you do a foster to adopt trial for two weeks before you decide to finalize his adoption to make sure he is a good forever Match. we recommend this because we don't currently have him in a foster home to really know who he is and whom he be better matched with however this is what we do know. He is a handsome terrier likely poodle mix (his coat would be an indicator of why we believe this) we don't know if he is hypoallergenic nor if he sheds so please be careful if you are interested in him
and have allergies to dogs. We know he is a mellow sweet loving dog who is lower energy he walks around and seeks human companionship so we don't know if he would do well in a home where he is left home alone long periods of time. As of today 1.9.24 he is in baja in a home with multiple dogs and cats and all are mostly in the patio/yard along with the companionship of the owners of the property. They say he always seeks to lay down next to a human. So you can find him leaning against your leg or on the floor next to you. When he walks around cats swat and him and he just moves to another side of the room. He makes no trouble and is very gentle old soul. We believe he is 2-4yrs old and his demeanor indicated likely will enjoy children.
As of today we don't have available fosters in San Diego but we will be welcoming lincon to casa de ARWOB of January... hopefully you can help us offer him help sooner by inquiring about him!
