Tommy is an adorable terrier mix who was rescued off the streets of Tijuana, Mexico.
He is now being fostered at casa de ARWOB in San Diego while he finds a foster home of his own or better yet a forever family.
Tommy is currently living with Aggie, Puggsley and Antena as his foster doggo friends.
Him and Aggie have really taken to each other, flirty kiddos!
He also is sharing the home with several ARWOB foster cats and has done great, he mostly ignores them. Tommy will absolutely lift his leg outside, we took precaution by placing him on the "belly band" (if you are in dog rescue and have male dogs you know what we mean) and within 1-2 days he was excellent with no leg lifting inside the house, such a cutie! So smart and mostly because he wants to please humans and is one of the MOST grateful doggos around.
Tommy does amazing in the crate. He currently sleeps at night in the crate and a couple hours through the day too. He is NOT a barky dog at all BUT when he barks, watch out intruders he will sound like the big bad wolf! He has a manly bark for sure! ha ha
As of 1/31 he is 37 pounds and full grown. He is no little poodle! and we really don't know what breed he truly would be but he is your typical baja super mutt. He has more maltese hair (curly waived) vs poodle curly hair. We don't know if he sheds as he is surrounded with other dogs/cats but we would say if he does its minimal. WE DO NOT KNOW IF HE IS HYPOALLERGENIC.
Tommy does great during car rides, has not really learned to play with toys. Poor guy, we are pretty sure he is not used to being 'safe/happy' but what we can say is he is one of our volunteers favorites. Do know, if you do NOT like or tolerate dogs licking your hand, please DO NOT apply for our Tommy boy because he is Mr. Licky face. He wants nothing more than to hug or be loved and petted by humans.
