8/12/23 foster update:
Ray is a kind, social sweetheart who loves to be held and cuddled. He can be a bit timid at first, but he warms up quickly. His fur is so soft and beautiful and his ears, just like his brothers, stick straight up in the air. He truely looks like a mini white fox. Ray has so much love to give to his future forever family. He can’t wait to meet them!
Meet the "Ghostbusters"!
This adorable litter of 3 Shepherd mix pups ( 3 males) were rescued from Ensenada Mexico on 7/2023 when a good sam noticed a mama dog scavanging for food and taking it to her 'den' when she realized there were young pups in there. She went home to get a leash and crate and came back for the little family of 4. The good sam is adopting mom and contacted ARWOB for help with the pups. Mom is an adorable and very sweet petite shepherd mix who is about 35-40lbs and we expect the pups to also grow up to be in the 35-50lbs range when full grown. We have posted a picture of mom for potential adopters to see what she looks like and the pups themselves, well, they look like little foxes at this time :)
The pups are doing amazing, currently fostered in a family home in the east county (meet and greets would be scheduled in the 92117 typically) in a home with a yard and several other adult dogs. They like all puppies who are good with cats but have not lived with them. Great with young children and very sociable, active, and smart!
We are looking for families who are ready to take on puppy training and all that comes with a new puppy in the home especially active, smart shepherd mixes. They are CUTE but don't think of adopting them if you are not planning to sign up for dog training or being active (walks, runs, hikes, etc) as these pups are not for adopters looking for easy going low energy dogs.
The pups are scheduled to be sterilized mid-August when they are 4 months of age in the north park area and although ready for adoption now, families will need to be available to bring their newly adopted pup to their scheduled sterilization appointment on Monday 8/14/23 with a 8:30am to 9am drop off. More information would be provided for their prospective approved adopters.
The pups are scheduled to be neutered in the north park area 92104 on Monday 8/28/23 (they can be adopted before their surgery day as long as adopters can drop off for their vet apt)
