Meet Mango and Papaya!
These 2 ADORABLE brother and sister siblings were accepted as relinquished from a family in Tijuana who own a young adult calico who had AN accidental pregnancy back in February. We are unable to take mama for lack of adult cat space in our rescue and she's with family; however, we did get mama spayed to avoid further pregnancies. These 2 siblings were raised in a family with children and ARE very sweet. They love other cats and although it would be great if adopted together, we would be comfortable separating them as long as they are adopted into families with other felines at home. They have not lived with dogs, but as young kittens, likely with slow introductions, should be able to accept canine friends.
They are currently fostered in a home with a young teen who is fostering and continuing to love them and get to know them.
Mango is a very affectionate orange and white kitten who loves to come up to you and get pets. He loves to lick your fingers and toes, and is always happy to greet you when you come home by rubbing against your legs. What a love! Mango loves to purr, and often does it whenever you pick him up or cuddle with him. He is a very brave kitten and isn't afraid of many things, although he isn't the biggest fan of dogs. He most likely would get used to a kitty friendly dog it introduced slowly with a little time. Besides being a very affectionate kitten, he is also very playful! He likes to play with his sister and spend time with her. Mango is a very sweet and adventurous kitten, and would do well in a very loving home, adding sunshine to your days!
Papaya is a very sweet kitten with a playful side. She LOVES to play with all sorts of toys, and even with your hair! Papaya also likes her scratching posts and often tries to climb to the top of them, exhibiting her bravery. When she isn't creating mischief, she is either sleeping in her favorite spot in her little hammock or rubbing against you asking for pets. She loves to purr and climb in your lap, and she sometimes follows you around the house. Like her brother, she enjoys giving you kisses and licks, especially on your fingers. She is a very affectionate ckitten and doesn't startle easily. Papaya would do great in a home where she gets lots of attention and cuddles; she too is guaranteed to brighten your days!
They will be ready for adoption the weekend of 5/13/22 and if you'd like to adopt them, we request that an adoption application be submitted online at arwob.org
if approved, we would schedule a meet and greet with them and their foster parent at our cat adoption center at PetSmart in the Clairemont 92117 area.
