Meet Chocolate!
This beautiful lady was rescued from the streets of Tijuana, Mexico and now that she is ready for adoption she has arrived at our cat adoption center in the Petsmart in Clairemont. Chocolate is a very social, loving and outgoing people friendly kitty who seems to enjoy kitty friends, although, like most adult cats, it takes her a minute to trust and get to know the new kitties she meets. Once she does, though, she enjoys companionship and getting to observe and hopefully play with the other kitties. We are just getting to know her and learning about her, but our volunteers have described her as an absolute sweetheart who is affectionate, comfortable with our volunteers, and is a total lap cat!
For now, if you'd like to schedule a meet and greet with her, we request that you submit a cat adoption application online (not currently in need of a foster home) and if the application is approved for adoption, we can then schedule a meet and greet.
Adoption process:
Submit a cat adoption application online at ARWOB.org
Once received, an adoption counselor will contact you via phone or email within 1-4 days of submission to finalize processing your application. If approved to adopt a meet and greet will be scheduled at our adoption center at which time if the meet goes well and you choose to move forward with the adoption our kitties are ready to go home the same day.
*Once you submit an adoption application online if the cat you select is no longer available or is not a match for you but you are interested in other cats there is NO need to resubmit an application, just request ARWOB transfers that application to another rescue cat you'd like to meet which we currently have available for adoption or if you see someone in the future you'd like to meet please contact the group and request to reactive your application.
Notes for applicants:
-We do NOT place holds on rescues, please, do not submit an application unless you are READY to adopt MEOW.
-We require landlord approvals. if you rent, you should have written landlord approval before you apply to adopt a cat as we can't hold adoptions back or place hold on rescues.
-If you are not contacted by a volunteer within 4 days of submitting an application, please contact ARWOB via email to follow up on your application status, we typically cancel applications if there is no communication from both parties within a week and assume applicants are no longer interested.
