Meet Canelito!
Canelito is an adorable Shepherd wannabe, who looks like a little Dachshund and it already fully grown at 25 pounds. He loves affection and adores playing with people and other dogs. He enjoys playing with toys like balls and is a big fan of belly rubs. He is currently fostered in a home with other dogs and although he is not around cats, we think he will be just fine with feline friends — we would be happy to test him around cats if requested to do so. This little guy loves attention and would enjoy a home with another dog for companionship. Adopters should be willing to enroll Canelito in dog training classes, as most of our rescues need basic puppy training. He is already crate trained and he’s a total sweetheart!
Canelito is scheduled to be neutered in March 2022 in the North Park area (92104) on a date to be determined. He can meet potential adopters now, but once we have a scheduled date for his neuter appointment, his adopters must be available to take him to and from his appointment. Therefore, we are only accepting applications from those who live locally in the San Diego area. If you live outside the area, you are more than welcome to check back after he has had his surgery to see if he is still available at that time (we do not place holds on our rescues).
