Meet Paisley! 

This beautiful calico kitten was rescued on 12/24/21 and has quite a rescue story! Paisley was rescued from a car engine. One morning someone saw that there was a kitten in the motor, but she would not come out. A trap was placed, and the following day she was transported to Arwob. She was not feral, just a bit of a "feral wanna be". She is currently being fostered along with her friend, Oliver. You can tell by their pictures that they enjoy play wrestling and cuddling up together and falling asleep when they are tuckered out!

Paisley's foster mom has recently shared how Paisley is doing in her foster home. She says that Paisley is a fun loving and energetic kitten. She is a bit timid at first, but once she bonds with her people, she will follow them anywhere! She sleeps on the daughter's bed and they are great buddies. Paisley is very playful and LOVES toys and chasing the laser light. In the evenings, she gets a burst of energy, has the “zoomies”, and chases Oliver, a 5 month old male Siamese who is also being fostered in the home, as well as playing with all of their toys. The two of them have become good buddies and are a good balance for each other.  

Paisley plays a bit rough with your hand and her fosters have been working on that by giving her a little growl and stopping the petting. She has gotten much better with the rough play with her humans since she got her playmate, Oliver. Having a friend makes a big difference with kittens, because it really helps with their socialization. Her foster mom shares that because this girl is so playful and social with all of the animals (dogs and cats), they believe that she most definitely needs to be adopted with another kitten and that she and Oliver make a great pair in their home. 

If you are considering adopting Paisley and do not already have another animal at home, please onsider adopting another kitten, teen, or adult as well. Kittens are very cat oriented. As with all young kittens, she would be much too lonely without a companion when you are not home. This way they will have another kitty to play and cuddle up with when you are not with them, and, as an added bonus, they will double your pleasure and fun as well!

NOTE:  Paisley can meet potential adopters right away.  However, she has a sterilization appointment on February 15th in the 92104 area, which means the adopter must be available that day to take her to our veterinarian and pick her up after surgery.  The surgery is included in the adoption fee and NO CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING will be allowed.  Adopters must be available to drop the kitten off and pick her up later that day.  PLEASE CHECK YOUR CALENDAR!  Therefore, priority will be given to local area adopters.  If you live outside of the San Diego area and would like to adopt, you are welcome to check back to see if this rescue is still available after the surgery is completed (we do not put holds on any of our rescue animals).

Once received, an adoption counselor will contact you via phone or email within 1-4 days of submission to finalize processing your application. If approved to adopt a meet and greet will be scheduled at our adoption center at which time if the meet goes well and you choose to move forward with the adoption our kitties are ready to go home the same day.

*Once you submit an adoption application online if the cat you select is no longer available or is not a match for you but you are interested in other cats there is NO need to resubmit an application, just request ARWOB transfers that application to another rescue cat you'd like to meet which we currently have available for adoption or if you see someone in the future you'd like to meet please contact the group and request to reactive your application. 


Notes for applicants:
-We do NOT place holds on rescues, please, do not submit an application unless you are READY to adopt MEOW. 
-We require landlord approvals. if you rent, you should have written landlord approval before you apply to adopt a cat as we can't hold adoptions back or place hold on rescues. 

-If you are not contacted by a volunteer within 4 days of submitting an application, please contact ARWOB via email to follow up on your application status, we typically cancel applications if there is no communication from both parties within a week and assume applicants are no longer interested.
