Meet Mojito!
Newest Update 9-13-21:
Mojito is the sweetest little thing! She has been fostered in San Diego since early July. She has been spayed and has completed all her vaccines. This healthy and very loving teenager has a submissive personality with both people and other dogs. She is great with dogs, cats, and children. She is crate trained and loves to play with other dogs. She can be a bit much for some dogs since she loves to be in their personal space and do the “licky face” thing which some dogs tolerate, but others may not. However, she is great around alpha dog personalities since she is not one to test boundaries. Mojito loves toys and enjoys being loved on by her human. She is currently 30 pounds and we believe she will be in the 35-40 pound range when full grown. She is not a very vocal dog inside or outside, but may bark when something scares her and she will warn you about it. Her brother Martini looked a lot like a Schnauzer, but Martini looks like her mother, with the short hair (30 pound Terrier mix). Mojito has spots, so she could also be a Pointer, Beagle, or a Spaniel mix (maybe). The truth is we do not know what breed she is, but what you see is what you get — a nice medium sized Terrier mix with a sweet personality.
ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY:
Mojito and Martini were born in Tijuana, Mexico. Their mother is a little stray dog, who is medium sized in the 35 pound range and she is white with black spots. These two pups were found along with their mother and we are sure they have different dads, hence the different look of Pointer versus Wired Hair Terrier/Schnauzer. Both pups will likely be medium sized breeds in the 40 pound range when full grown.
They are typical puppies, who are energetic, playful and social! They do well with dogs, cats, and kids! They are currently being fostered together in a home with dogs and cats. They are crate trained, but they are NOT yet house trained. Their ideal adopter will be someone with time to research dog training or already knows about dog training, both basic commands and house/potty training. If you are unable to train, socialize, and exercise these puppies, they would not be a good match for you.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting one of these cuties, please complete an online application at www.arwob.org. Don’t wait!
