Meet Willie!
UPDATE 12/15/20 : Here is what Willie’s foster family has to say about him:
“He is a sweet, smart and lovable puppy. He is very food motivated and is learning to sit. House training is going well and he is getting the hang of it. He loves to play with his older foster brother. He is learning to walk well on a leash and gets those bursts of puppy energy that makes him very playful. He loves his chew toys. He does not like being in the crate and does not love it if he is not able to be near his foster family. He has had a puppy playdate with an ARWOB adoptee puppy and they got along great with each other. He is very curious and sweet and will make a great addition to any family.”
ORIGINAL RESCUE STORY :
Willie was rescued in October when he was found left tied to a fence of a known dog rescuer in Mexico. He was filthy and infested with fleas, but otherwise okay. He is very social with other dogs his own size and has been friends with another medium-sized dog. He is playful, loves human attention, and enjoys being petted. Willie is crate trained and well on his way to becoming housebroken.
Because of COVID-19, sterilization appointments have been difficult to schedule. Willie will be sterilized in the 92109 area of San Diego scheduled for Wednesday 01/06/2021
This means the Willie can only be adopted to local families in the San Diego area to ensure they are able to take him to the pre-scheduled surgery appointment, and then pick him up at the end of the day after surgery. Therefore, please do NOT submit an application if you are not local to San Diego and able to attend the appointment (TBD). If you would like to adopt and live outside of San Diego area, you are welcome to wait until his sterilization surgery has been completed to see if he is still available at that time.
