Meet Kenny and Kensy!
These 2 adorable shepherds are friends/relatives of our other shepherd Magy,
All these GSD mixes were rescued from a homeless man who was trying his best to feed the few dogs around the area he built his little hut in an empty lot. He was carring for approx 8 adult shepherds and many many pups. ARWOB was able to move most of the dogs and sterlized a couple of adults who stayed with him for lack of interest in human companionship. The rest of the adults like these guys are VERY people oriented and super sweet, they also do very well with other dogs.
Have not been cat tested but we don't think they would do well with them.
Because these dogs were street dogs for many years everything is new to them and learning new experiences. They are currently in boarding as we need to find foster families or adoptive families. Adopters are welcome to foster these guys as well and if looking for a good pair of friends Kenny and Kensy would be amazing duo. Kensy is the leader between the two and Kenny likes to have someone to look for comfort,
Both are doing well and learnign to walk on the leash which is a completley new experience for them, they do ok in the car ride and don't get nauseous but are a little nervous getting the hang of it. They have never lived in a home so we can't say if they are house trained but we can say from experience street adult dogs don't tend to have accidents in the home and prefer to go outside in the yard. They have not lived with children but we anticipate they would do great with gentle well behaved kids for initital exposure.
