Meet Mango and her three kittens, Peanut, Bean, and Josie!
This family was rescued by an indie rescuer in Tijuana who helps many homeless unwanted strays and was overwhelmed with more than 20 cats rescued during this kitten season...all pregnant, or had newly given birth. We had to help as she has no resources to care for them. These 3 babies are the sweetest littles and their mom, Mango, is a total sweetheart as well! Mango was rescued from the streets of Tijuana with her 3 babies in early April. She was only 4 pounds, skin, bones and aside from being emaciated and dehydrated, she kept trying to be a good mom, but was producing NO milk. Mango was such a GREAT mom. She was literally giving her life for them, she would be with them, kept them warm and allowed them to try to nurse even if she had nothing to offer Her babies were bottle fed for a couple of weeks until they started eating on their own. Mango and babies have been separated since early May and the babies are ready for adoption the week of 6/10. We are accepting applications now.
Mango, a beautiful dilture calico, is VERY people oriented and, of course, was a great mama cat. She doesn't seem very bothered by other adult cats, but we think she she may prefer being the only cat in the home or, even better, be adopted along with one of her babies!
