To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Merlot!

Merlot is your typical happy-go-lucky puppy with the type of energy you would expect from puppies of this age. We are confident that she will bring sunshine into your life and make a wonderful pet for any family.

Merlot is currently being fostered in San Diego with a couple who live in a apartment and have a dog of their own. They have reported that she is doing great and she loves to run at the dog park. Here is how her foster mom would describe Merlot:  

“Hi, I am a super playful and curious puppy! I would describe myself as a social butterfly although I may be a little shy with big dogs at first. Some of my favorite things are squeaker toys, balls, grass, and sunbathing (I find it calming and it usually leads me into nap-time). I am very food motivated - so much so that I learned how to sit and stay down within two days; that's how much I love treats!”
