Carmen is a fantastic dog. She is very loving and her face lights up when you arrive home. She loves to go for walks and hikes around Santee. She is not the most loving dog when she there is too many things going on around her because she would rather relax and be in a calm setting. Carmen is great as she adapts to her environment. She can be inside the house and become a great lap dog. She will even play outside with all her foster brothers and sisters.
She does well around house cats, but she will certainly chase and have encounters with cats that she does not interact with on a daily basis. Once she becomes more acclimated with the usual house cat, she easily ignores them and leaves them alone.
She loves car rides and just loves to be with her human. We think Carmen much prefers being by her favorite person's side rather than stay at home all by herself. She simply enjoys being the best companion as can be.
WE are worried about Carmen because she has been in the foster system for over 5 months. Special Needs: She has an old wound in her right back leg which was probably because she was hit by a car when she was in the streets. She has a very very mild limp and she still jumps, runs and walks perfectly fine. You can't really notice it unless you are in the veterinary field and recognize these things.
