To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Dixie!

Dixie was transferred from a local shelter in Louisiana after Hurricane Harvey hit. Dixie, along with a few of her friends, were exited from local shelters in Texas and Louisiana to help the states with the influx of animals entering their shelters after Hurricane Harvey and Irma hit. Approx 144 animals were transferred into local San Diego shelters to help make space for the displaced dogs and cats after the hurricanes.

Dixie is great friends with Rue and Ricochet. Although, she loves everyone! She is great with dogs, people, children, and even cats! She absolutely LOVES toys! Here favorite thing is to find her toys and take them out of the box. She would love to have all the toys in the world!! Ha ha!

This little girl has a lean and athletic body. She is a typical active pup, who also has a couch potato side to her. She would love to find a loving adopter that will keep her entertained and active, as well as give her lots of cuddles. She is 100% healthy and tested negative for heart worm, so she is ready to be adopted right away!
