Meet the siblings Elantra, Ford, Chevy, Honda, Lincoln, Toyota and Civic! All seven are named after car companies or specific car models.
5 out of the 7 kittens have been adopted and now it is time for Toyota and Ford to find their forever home. These two boys were the shiest in the litter, but have come a long way and have a great deal of affection to share with you once they get to know you. That extra time and tlc make a world of difference!
Update 11/18: "Toyota is currently in a foster home and his foster mom has this to say about him: Toyota is becoming more social. He is a sweet, gentle cat who comes around us, plays with toys and other cats and likes to be petted. He’s still getting used to hugs & kisses Toyota loves to wrestle with his best buddy sibling, Ford."
Update 12/6: from foster mom: "My observation of Toyota is that he is a sweet, but still shy boy although he is getting less shy over time. He likes the company of other cats and is ok with my dog. He likes to play with her, but she is not interested. His natural tendency is to run away when being approached, but if I lower myself and approach slowly, sometimes he will lower on his side and let me pick him up. Once he allows me to hold him, he enjoys being cuddled and petted for a good while. He is playful, calm, and curious. Toyota likes my husband a lot. He even jumps on the sofa when my husband is laying there watching TV and lays next to him, touching him with his whole body, for a long time.
Toyota has come a long way gaining confidence in the care of two foster homes. He really is a sweet boy and does enjoy human interaction. The more that he is with people, the more comfortable he has and will become. Since he enjoys other kitties, a buddy will also be great for him.
If you do not have another felilne at home and would like to adopt Toyota, please consider adopting another one of our kitties as well because he really does enjoy the company of other cats. He would be much too lonely without a companion when he is alone if there aren't any other animals in the home. This way he will have a buddy to play and cuddle up with when you are not with him, and as an added bonus, they will double your pleasure and fun as well!
