About Opal (Blue) | |

|
Meet Opal (Blue)! The reason that we are referring to her as Opal (blue) is because we have two kittens up for adoption with the name Opal. Opal (Blue) has that beautiful cream and blue point Siamese coloring.
This gorgeous, sweet kitten has quite a story to tell. She is only three months old now, but when she was even younger, s
he was tragically injured by one of her fellow foster canine friends. She ventured
out into the wrong part of her foster mom's home when the door didn't close well and was attacked by a dog. Her foster heard the ruckus and was able to intervene. She didn't have any visible wounds but her injuries were internal. She was visibly having problems breathing and was rushed to ER. She remained there overnight until she was stabilized and had surgery to repair four abdominal hernias.. She made it through the surgery very well and recuperated in a special foster home where she could be observed often and cared for.
The great news is that Opal Blue is now healed, active, and a very happy, playful kitten who wants nothing more than to find the forever home of her dreams. Take a look at her pictures, which show her with her sutures after surgery and the new video which was just posted. What a world of difference and this sweet kity has certainly captured all of our hearts. She is a fantastic kitten!
This girl is VERY special....beautiful, affectionate, and a survivor. Nothing will make her happier than to find the forever home of her dreams where she will be loved, safe, and treasured as a family member. She should be adopted into a home without any dogs or contemplating adopting one in the future. It could be, in time, that Opal might be ok around canines, but the dog attack, we are sure, is in her memory and we do not want to cause her any undue stress in the future. She will be fine around other kitties and, of course, her humans.
Kittens are very cat oriented. If you do not have another felilne at home and would like to adopt Opal (Blue), please consider adopting another kitten or cat as well. As with all young kittens, she would be much too lonely without a companion when she is alone. This way she will have another kitten or cat to play and cuddle up with when you are not with them, and as an added bonus, they will double your pleasure and fun as well!
