Meet Lucy II! Lucy is an adorable senior Pomeranian/Chi/Papion mix. Her former owner passed away and Lucy went to live with his son’s family about a year ago. Unfortunately, they didn’t have time for Lucy and felt it would be best to euthanize her. However, their vet saw just how happy, outgoing, and full of life this little senior is and respectively declined the euthanasia request. Instead, they contacted ARWOB to see if we could take her and find a loving home for her. Lucy needed some medical care and dental work, but she is now up-to-date. She does have a mild low-grade heart murmur (2 out of 6), but we think this might be lower after the dental treatment.
Lucy just loves people and she is the perfect lap dog! She does okay with cats, but she is not a fan of children who don’t respect her personal space. She has never lived with dogs, but we have started to expose her to other dogs. She still has a lot of energy for a senior and can jump on and off the sofa with ease. But she would ultimately like a mellow home where she can chill out and sit on your lap and keep you company.
ARWOB needs to find a quiet foster home for Lucy since we currently only have fosters with other large breed dogs that are highly active. Lucy would do best in a quiet foster home, so we are hoping to find the right foster environment for her. In fact, we even offer foster-to-adopt programs so potential adopters can spend some time with her and get to know her.
