To make the most out of your time, we suggest you SUBMIT an adoption APPLICATION BEFORE an adoption event.

Check the animal attendance the morning before the event to confirm attendance of a particular rescue. In addition, please check the up-to-date animals attendance list 1 HOUR BEFORE an event to know if the dog or cat you want to meet is still attending.

Also remember to review important event information BEFORE attending.

Meet Barney and Whitney! Barney and his sister Whitney came to us along with their mother Coco. They are from Baja where they were relinquished to ARWOB so we could help them find forever homes. Coco has already found her loving home, while Barney and Whitney have been fostered with a family in Mexico until the time they could come to San Diego. They are here now and looking to find a family of their own!

Barney is a gentle and easy going soul, who can be a bit shy at first. But once he warms up, he just loves people and interacting with them. He is a total mamma’s boy and enjoys cuddling with his humans. Although Barney is used to being around his sister Whitney, it is not an adoption requirement that they be adopted together. But if you think that you would like to open your heart and adopt this sweet pair, you would make their dreams come true. But we are confident that Barney would be okay as the only dog in the house or as a companion to your existing pet.
